RR ties in bad places and the long journey to fix it.

In in the mid 2000s, after dumping RR ties in the proximity of the Wachusett Reservoir, Pan Am was called out by DEP and thus began a multi-year journey where Pan Am appealed this. They eventually settled, paying an almost $60K fine.  To the left is a short story in the Worcester T&G and to the right is a nearly 7,000 word court decision.
